The Metadata Steering Group consists of representatives from the educational domains MBO, HBO and WO and was initially established to discuss the expansion of the metadata model. In consultation, we decided to also give the Steering Group a role in discussing possible expansions of functionalities.

The Edubadges Metadata Model agreement is a practical elaboration of the metadata scheme of the SURF Edubadges service. The mapping document describes which data (metadata) are used and recorded with Edubadges and describes the data format, semantics and syntax of the concepts Issuer, Badgeclass, Assertion.
